Some spaces just beg for something special. This alcove had good bones but no personality - so we got to work building something that actually fits the collection it was made to hold.
We milled true floating live-edge black walnut shelves and paired them with a matching black walnut countertop. Live-edge work is unforgiving. Every slab has its own grain, its own curves, its own character - and getting two pieces to feel like they belong together takes a real eye for the material. We think these do.
The natural edge of the countertop wraps the cabinet base in a way that feels intentional without being overdone. Against the dark wall, the warm tones of the walnut really pop. It's the kind of detail that makes a bar feel like it was designed around the bottles - not just thrown together.
We're not done yet either. Custom Blanton's bottle cap pulls are going on the cabinet doors for the final touch. It's a small detail, but that's exactly the kind of thing that separates a good build from a great one. Stay tuned for the reveal.
This is the kind of work we love - commercial bars, restaurant builds, custom millwork that actually means something to the person on the other side of it. If you've got a space that needs this kind of attention, we know what to do with it.
