Saline Bathroom Tile Work Almost at the Finish Line

This one is close. We're in the final stretch on a bathroom remodel in Saline, and the tile work is really starting to show what it's going to be.

Here's what we were working with - a full shower surround using large-format gray tile, a classic hex floor, and a vertical mosaic accent column running straight up to a beautiful arched window. Getting that accent strip centered under that arch took careful planning from the start. That's not something you just eyeball.

Good tile work lives and dies by the prep. You can see the tile leveling clips still in place - those little spacers are what keep everything flat and consistent across a large surface. Skip that step, and you end up with lippage, meaning tile edges that sit at different heights. It looks bad and it's a pain to fix. We don't cut corners on the setup.

The mix of materials here - smooth large-format field tile, small-format mosaic glass, and hex floor tile - all have to work together visually and technically. Different tile types move differently, bond differently, and need to be handled differently. Getting them to look cohesive takes experience, not just effort.
